Rock Creek Golf Club member Brittany Lang is in the spotlight.

Golf fans worldwide know Brittany as the 2016 U.S. Women’s Open champion. Born in Richmond, Virginia and raised in McKinney, Texas,
Brittany had a decorated amateur career. She won eight American Junior Golf Association events and was a two-time First-Team Polo Golf
Junior All-American, as well as United States representative at the PING Junior Solheim Cup in 2002.

Brittany won the North and South Women’s Amateur and the Women’s Western Amateur in consecutive weeks in 2003 and she won the 2004 Trans National Amateur title.

Following graduation from McKinney High School in 2003, Brittany played golf at Duke University for two years and won six collegiate tournaments. She was named the 2004 Atlantic Coast Conference Freshman of the Year, the NCAA Freshman College Golfer of the Year, the 2005 ACC Player of the Year and won back-to-back ACC individual titles in 2004 and 2005.
