Now that seeing the first signs of spring it’s a good time to think about home maintenance. Travelers Insurance Company has a portion of their website devoted to home care with some common-sense tips to inspecting and taking care of things inside your home, such as electrical outlets and cords, air conditioning, water heater, furnace, clothes dryers, smoke detectors and light bulbs.
The checklist also includes exterior items for inspection. The cold winter months can do damage to your house and a few things outside your home that should be inspected to ensure they are in good condition include checking your roof, cleaning leaves and other debris from gutters and downspouts; visually inspecting your trees for damage or rot; making sure lawn mowers, tractors and other equipment are tuned-up before using, and more.
The checklist is embedded below.
